Italian coaches are very popular abroad, as it’s reported Olympique Marseille are looking to Monza boss Raffaele Palladino and Stade de Reims could hire Davide Ancelotti – Carlo’s son.

While some Serie A clubs are seeing their tacticians outside of the Peninsula, there is evidence that the Italian school of management remains enticing.

According to French football expert Sacha Tavolieri, Olympique Marseille have Monza coach Palladino on their wish-list.

Their first choice would be Paulo Fonseca, but he seems to be closer to Milan instead.

Palladino’s contract with Monza expires on June 30 and he is widely expected to walk away from the U-Power Stadium after two seasons in mid-table comfort.

This was the 40-year-old’s first coaching experience, having been promoted from the Monza youth team role in September 2022.

Meanwhile, L’Equipe suggest that Stade Reims are also looking towards an Italian coach, specifically Davide Ancelotti.

The son of Real Madrid boss Carlo has been on the staff for his father first in the fitness roles at PSG and Real Madrid, then assistant manager since 2016 at Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton and now Real Madrid.
